In the United States, over 22 million healthcare workers serve millions of patients every single day. But what if more of them saw their work not just as clinical service—but as a calling?
At the Neighborhood Christian Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, we believe that healthcare is a mission field. For over 25 years, we’ve been working to restore the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—through compassionate, Christ-centered care.
What started as a bold vision has become a growing movement to reimagine healthcare as ministry.
Serving the Underserved with Dignity and Compassion
Each year, the Clinic provides nearly 10,000 medical and dental visits for uninsured and underserved patients in Phoenix. Every appointment is an opportunity to not only treat symptoms but to offer hope, dignity, and often prayer.
Patients are welcomed with compassion. Their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are addressed—because we believe healing should be holistic.
Equipping Healthcare Providers Nationwide
But the vision doesn’t stop in Phoenix.
Through our Whole-Person Care Curriculum and partnerships with institutions like Grand Canyon University, we’re equipping Christian healthcare providers across the country to bring faith and medicine together.
We’re teaching doctors, nurses, and dentists how to integrate Christ into patient encounters in ways that are respectful, meaningful, and life-giving.
“It’s way easier than I had ever expected to incorporate Christ into a medical visit.”
“I love working here because I treat every patient like I would want someone to treat my parents.”
These are the voices of healthcare professionals being shaped by our mission—and expanding it.

This video captures the heart of our mission and the future we envision for healthcare in America:
More than medicine. More than diagnoses. Hope, healing, and transformation through Jesus Christ.
A Vision for the Future
With nearly 1 million physicians and over 4 million nurses in the U.S., imagine the impact if even a small percentage were trained to offer spiritual hope alongside physical care.
This is the future we’re praying for.
And it’s one we’re building—with your support.
The Clinic invites you to help us become a catalyst for Christ-centered healthcare—not only in Phoenix, but across the nation.
