A patient sits down. The chart is open. The symptoms are clear. But so is what is not on the chart. Fear. Family stress. Loss. Questions about meaning. A quiet longing for hope.
That is the heart of whole person care.
At the Neighborhood Christian Clinic, we believe whole person care means more than treating a condition. It means seeing each patient with dignity and compassion, and being ready, when it is appropriate, to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus in a way that is respectful, ethical, and grounded in wisdom.
Because when a healthcare professional learns to care for the whole person, it does not stay in one exam room. It travels through every volunteer, every clinician, every workplace, and every community they touch. It can reach to the four corners of the earth.
To help healthcare professionals live this out with confidence and wisdom, we built the Whole Person Care Curriculum over time, one course at a time.
In December 2025, the final course was finished, completing the five-course curriculum. Course 5 is the capstone, focusing on what healthcare providers need to sustain their calling over time. With the full curriculum now in place, the foundation is firm. What began as a seed planted years ago has taken root and is bearing fruit. Now this training can be shared more widely with doctors, dentists, nurses, medical students, physician assistants, counselors, and healthcare professionals who want to better connect with patients and share the hope they have.
Here is how the curriculum took shape, step by step.

Hi Dr. ________,
I wanted to share something I think you might genuinely appreciate. The Neighborhood Christian Clinic created a free, interactive training called the Whole Person Care Curriculum. It equips healthcare professionals to assess and treat the whole patient in a God-glorifying, ethical way, with practical guidance for spiritual care and respectful Gospel conversations. The heart behind it is simple: to help healthcare providers connect more deeply with patients and share the hope of Jesus with wisdom and compassion.
