Low-cost care for uninsured patients:

Felipa Solorio shares her Christian testimony of faith during pregnancy after a difficult prenatal diagnosis

When the World Said “End It”—Faith Said “Trust God”

When she was pregnant with her youngest child, Aldo Jesús, doctors told her devastating news.

Aldo, they said, had multiple syndromes—including Down syndrome—and severe heart defects. He might not survive birth. He might never walk, talk, or feed himself.

And then came the recommendation: terminate the pregnancy.

Brokenhearted and shaken in their faith, she and her husband asked God, Why? Why this baby? Why now?

That very day, she had a scheduled visit to The Neighborhood Christian Clinic.

She walked through our doors carrying a weight no parent should bear. But what she found inside was more than medical care. It was hope. It was prayer. It was the Gospel in action.

Dr. Paul and Nurse Berta sat with her. Listened. Prayed. Cried. Encouraged.

And they reminded her of one simple truth: Every life is sacred.

They stood with her, not just that day—but throughout her pregnancy. With every appointment. Every fear. Every moment of doubt.

And then… Aldo Jesús was born.

The same baby doctors said wouldn’t survive birth.

The same baby she was told to abort.

Today, he’s smiling. Thriving. A living, breathing testimony of what faith—and support—can do.

“The Clinic isn’t just a place for physical healing,” she says, “It’s a place that heals the soul.”

Faith Over Fear. Life Over Convenience. Hope Over Despair.

This is what The Neighborhood Christian Clinic stands for.

We believe in whole person care—body, mind, and spirit. And when patients are faced with life-changing decisions, we don’t offer quick fixes. We offer truth. Prayer. And the unwavering love of Christ.

And we’re here to say: You don’t have to walk this journey alone.
