Use Your Skills to Restore Health and Hope

Volunteers are essential to the Clinic’s mission. When you serve, you help uninsured and underserved neighbors receive excellent care in a Christ-centered environment. Whether you are clinical or non-clinical, your time makes room for more appointments, more compassion, and prayer when welcomed.

How We Brought the Mission Field Here

The Neighborhood Christian Clinic was founded in 1999 by a group of healthcare professionals with a mission to serve the uninsured and underserved community in Phoenix, Arizona.

Since then, we have provided Whole-Person Care to thousands of patients and are now training other medical professionals in the United States and around the world with our Whole-Person Care curriculum.

During a hard season in medical school, I volunteered at the Clinic and saw the intersection of faith and medicine lived out in a way that renewed my purpose. I’m grateful God used the Clinic to guide me forward, and I hope to volunteer again when my family season allows. In the meantime, my husband and I are grateful to support the Clinic financially so this care can continue.

Lelan D. McCann, MD

“We do exams, give medication, and share the hope of Jesus. Their motto is ‘medicine for the body and medicine for the soul.’ It’s my weekly reminder of why I went into medicine.”

Steve Hoshiwara. MD

“I love the Clinic. I always have and always will. From day one, I could see that God was moving in this place. The most significant and meaningful work I ever did was here.”
